A pillcamera developed in a research group led by professor Ilangko Balasingham was presented on national broadcaster NRK News.
Research performed by researchers from The Intervention Centre, Oslo University Hospital, Nordland Hospital, Arctic University and Nord University have in a pre-clinical study found that "Intraosseous fluid resuscitation causes causes systematic fat emboli in a porcine hemorrhagic shock model". The research group won the poster and presentation price at The Scandinavian Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensice Care Medicine (SSAI2022) Conference.
On February 9th Minister of Trade and Industry Jan Christian Vestre visited The Intervention Centre. The Minister was welcomed by the hospital CEO Bjørn Atle Bjørnbeth and Jan Olav Høgetveit CEO of the new Technology and Innovation Division. Professor and Head of The Intervention Centre Bjørn Edwin took the minister on a guided tour in the OR suites.
